Exams
Exams are not compulsory, and students will be offered the opportunity to take their exam based on the teacher's analysis of their capabilities. Students can also participate in exams without getting a result. It is encouraged that students take 2-3 other classes each week to assist with their technique, coordination, musicality, strength and flexibility for exams. Students can sit an exam in Jazz, Ballet or Tap. They must be enrolled in a Graded class to sit an exam (e.g. Grade 1 or Grade 6)

Exams range from $50-$150 per exam.

The exact cost will be communicated to you once received from Comdance.

​Syllabus videos for Ballet, Jazz, Tap and AcroDance incur a licencing fee of $10 per term. If in a graded class, being prepared for an exam, this licencing fee will be automatically added to your account.
Exam Attire

Jazz: Jazz tights, jazz shoes, black DCDC leotard, DCDC bike pants (thin purple band)

Tap: Jazz tights, black tap shoes, black DCDC leotard

Ballet: Ballet tights, ballet shoes, black character shoes (if needed), black DCDC leotard
Tights, shoes and uniforms should be clean and without any tears or holes.
Hair & Make Up

Light make up, NO red lipstick or eyeliner
Expectations

Practice at least twice a week at home, using the Resources in your Parent Portal.

Consistently stretching and exercising at home to maintain and improve strength and flexibility.

Be polite and courteous to the Examiner at all times. Addressing her by her name and only speaking with her when you are spoken to.
